Carl Elsworth Trout

March 5, 1926 ~ March 23, 2018 (age 92)

Carl Elsworth Trout, 92, of Ridgeway, passed away Friday morning, March 23, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Lewistown on March 5, 1926 to the late Gail F. and Gladys Elam (Friend) Trout.

 

Carl married the former Donna June Brandyberry on July 6, 1946 in Greenup, Kentucky and she preceded him in death on September 14, 2007.  He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Lulabelle and Ruby; ten brothers: Gail, Millard, Lawrence, Donald, Willard, Clyde, Ernest, Francis, Robert, and Earl; and a granddaughter.

 

A veteran of World War II, Carl served in the US Army.  He worked at Marlou Egg Farm for seventeen years.  

 

Carl is survived by four daughters: Rebecca A. (Doug) Miller of Bellefontaine, Patricia J. (Merlin) Hoffer of Huntsville, Deborah M. (Frank) Ginn of Ridgeway, and Sue (John) Duncan of Alger; six sons: Gary L. (Nicki) Trout of Huntsville, Bobby L. Trout of East Liberty, Michael E. (Veldora) Trout of Lewistown, James W. (Christine) Trout of Bellefontaine, Paul W. (Nancy) Trout of West Liberty, and Martin S. (Tammy) Trout of Bellefontaine; 42 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: Richard Trout of Ridgeway.

 

Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5-7pm.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 1pm at Middleburg Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Honor Guard.
