Dale E. Tracy

August 29, 1937 ~ January 30, 2018 (age 80)

Dale E. Tracy, age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018 at his home.  Dale was born in DeGraff, Ohio August 29, 1937, to the late Albert William and Mildred (Ricketts) Tracy.  He was also preceded in death by a brother ,Robert Tracy and a sister, Betty Riley.

Dale married the former Joyce Parker December 13, 1963 in Richmond, Indiana and she survives in Bellefontaine.  He is also survived by a son, Tony (Anne) Tracy of Richmond, Virginia and a daughter, Lisa Tracy of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Meghan and Bridget Tracy; several nieces and nephews and many special friends, including Don and Janie Moffitt.

A 1955 graduate of West Liberty High School, Dale was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He worked many years as an assembler at Navistar before retiring in 1999.  He was a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.  Dale had been a scout master for several years, coached Little League baseball in West Liberty, and was a member of the West Liberty Lions club for fifteen years.  In his spare time, Dale loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 A. M. at the United Church of Christ in West Liberty, Ohio where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

The family was assisted with arrangements by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
