Brande Ann Spain

Brande Ann (Norviel) Spain, 68, born May 29, 1954 in Marysville, Ohio, daughter of Jack and Jean (Lowe) Norviel, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Ann is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 50 years, James (Jim) Spain, three daughters, Amber (Shannon) King, MaryAnn (Daniel) McGill, and Krista (Jonathan) Winn. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Mya, Elijah, Carson, Naomi, Luke, Kendrick, Emmaline, and Claira. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean (Lowe) Norviel.

Ann graduated from Ben Logan High School in 1972 and was married in Middleburg, Ohio on September 15, 1972.  Two years after marrying her best friend Jim, she came to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Ann never got over God’s amazing grace.  She and Jim began attending Grace Chapel Church in West Liberty, Ohio in 1981 where they became active members. Ann loved using her gift of hospitality to serve others, especially the sick and shut-in.  She earnestly loved her church family and will be missed by her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ann enjoyed gardening, remodeling projects, camping, and bicycling. 

What she loved most, however, was spending time with her family. Ann dearly loved her husband, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren and was actively involved in their lives. She relentlessly prayed for each of them and constantly taught them about Jesus.

All services will be held at Grace Chapel, 500 Linden Avenue, in West Liberty, Ohio. Visitation will be 4-7pm on Thursday, September 22, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, September 23, 2022, with a graveside prayer and  Scripture reading to follow at the Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg, Ohio.
