Carol Ann Fry

Carol Ann Fry, 79, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in her home. 

She was born in Kenton, Ohio on January 10, 1943, the daughter of the late Neil Simpson and Gladys Dorothy (Bowman) Shanks.  She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Thomas Pearl Shanks, and a sister, Kay Hanley.

On June 19, 1965, she married her high school sweetheart Jerry Paul Fry, and he survives in Huntsville.

She is also survived by one daughter, Susan Long of Huntsville and one son, Brian (Ramona) Fry of Dublin, four grandchildren: Justin (Paige) Fry of Akron, Brianna (Jalon) Tuttle of Dublin, Catrina (Josh) Hall of Dunkirk, and Jeremy Long of Huntsville and two great grandchildren: Landon Hall and Annemarie Long.  Two sisters: Lisa (Terry) Esch of Huntsville and Gyla (Timothy) Gietzen of Bellefontaine, and a stepbrother, Eric Simpson of Indian Lake and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a 1961 graduate of Huntsville High School and worked in bookkeeping for 40 years before retiring.  During her life she enjoyed working as the Open Class Secretary for the Logan County Fair, Arleen's Flowers, Bauthauer's Auction Service and Beard's Oil Company.  She was a lifetime member of Huntsville Presbyterian Church and enjoyed her children and grandchildren the most.  Her greatest memories were with family while traveling to one of her favorite places, Walt Disney World.

Pastor Ben Beres will officiate a funeral service at 12Noon on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio, where visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral.  Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
