Carolyn Sue "Suzi" Focht Simons, age 74, of Hernando, Florida, formally of Bellefontaine died Monday October 5th, 2020 at her home in Florida.
She was born April 21st, 1946 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Focht and Virgie Mae Clouse Poff.
A United States Army Veteran, Suzi held various jobs throughout her life. Her favorite past time was reading anything she could get her hands on, spending time with her sister Chris and anything to do with her daughter. She was a member of the VFW Post #4252 in Florida and a past member and Chaplin of BOE Post #132, Bellefontaine.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Kelinda O'Neal and a brother Danny Focht.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Tamara Nevers-Garman and her husband Tim, grandchildren; Kayla (Andrew) Moore of Westfield, IN, Kelanie (Drew) Raholin of Granger, IN, and Timothy Jr. "TJ" (Jenna) Garman of Sarasota, FL, two great grandchildren; Theo & Thomas Raholin, sisters; Chris (Glenn) Green of Oklahoma, Connie McKenzie of Kansas, Kelista Sanders of PA, Barbara Wilson & Sonja Dickman both of Florida, and her Angel on earth, longtime friend and caregiver Tracy Smith.
Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday October 15th, 2020, with a military honors service at 7:00 p.m. provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
