Carroll E. “Pete” Dennis, 86, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Friday morning, June 11, 2021 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

Pete was born in Champaign County September 21, 1934, to the late Edward and Mabel E. (Johnson) Dennis.  He married Elizabeth F. Zeiner April 19,1968, and she preceded him in death May 13, 2020.

Pete is survived by his daughters, Lori (Joe) Seiler of Mt. Victory, Ohio and Denise Niswonger of Urbana; six grandchildren: Joey, Josh, Blake, Dani “Muffin” (Jeff), Cody and Kelsey (Breaden); and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Abrielle.

Pete worked in assembly at International Harvester for 27-plus years and was a member of the UAW.  With his wife Betty, they helped establish the Church of Christ in Urbana.  Pete enjoyed trains, woodworking, yard work, and collecting tools.

Michael Birt will officiate Pete’s funeral service Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty, where visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Burial will be in the Kingscreek Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty is honored to serve the Dennis family.
