Cheryl L. Zahner

Cheryl L. Zahner, 76, of Zanesfield, OH, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in her home.

She was born in Lima, OH on October 9, 1945, the daughter of the late Warren and Peggy (Irwin) Hinkle.  She was also preceded in death by three sisters.

On May 17, 1986, she married Ross Zahner, and he survives in Zanesfield.

She is also survived by a daughter, Angela Burkhammer of Beaverdam, OH, a stepdaughter, Shannan (Bill) Byers of St. Paris, OH, grandchildren: Jeremy Cummings of Bellefontaine, Jaime Hill of Bellefontaine, Zeke McColloch of Beaverdam, OH, Tabatha (Dean) Hovest of Beaverdam, OH, Kaleb Burkhammer of Bellefontaine, Taylor Houchin of Piqua, and Trent Thomas of West Liberty, 14 great grandchildren, a sister, Judy Brenner of Bellefontaine, numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Loretta Kramer of Zanesfield, OH.

Cheryl worked at Westinghouse for 16 years before going to working for Honda East Liberty plant, where she retired with 30+ years of service.  She enjoyed camping with her husband, including traveling, especially out West.  She also liked to sunbathe floating in her pond and enjoyed shopping.

Chaplain Zach Maloney will officiate a celebration of life service on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, OH 43311.  Visitation will be two hours prior (4 to 6 p.m.) to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice, 7575 Paragon Rd., Dayton, OH 45459.
