Daniel Wayne Miller

Daniel Wayne Miller, 67, of Mingo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Urbana, Ohio.

He was born in Urbana October 16, 1953, a son of the late Robert Kenneth and Janice Marie (Hiestand) Miller. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three sisters.

He is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline (Robert) Curry of Centerburg, Ohio; a granddaughter, Ashlyn Curry; a sister; eleven brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel was a Veteran after serving his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a coordinator for AGC Automotive in Bellefontaine.  He enjoyed spending time with family especially if it was watching his daughter play softball or volleyball or watching any of his nieces or nephews playing sports.  He enjoyed playing cards, playing BINGO with his sisters and his 1968 Dodge Charger.  He loved collecting and shooting guns, anything John Wayne and loved to dance. The neighborhood kids as well as his nieces and nephews kindly referred to him as “Dan the Candy Man” as he always had a sweet treat to offer them.

James Miller, his nephew, will officiate a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  The Logan County Veteran Honor Guard will provide military honors.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty is honored to serve the Miller family.
