Donald "Don" E. Arnett

Donald “Don” E. Arnett, 82, of Alger, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2023, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky on February 27, 1941, to the late Kash and Nellie (Risner) Arnett. He is also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Arnett; sister, Ollie Arnett; and brothers: Elwood and Richard Arnett.

On August 18, 1965, Don married Ethel (Rowe) Arnett and she survives.

He is also survived by his children: Sharlene (Darrin) Collins and Jody Arnett; grandchildren: Jaime (Trevor) Howe, Jake Collins, Isaac (Aspen) Collins, Noah (Maciah) Arnett, Aaron, Joshua, Tristan, Benny, and Jayce Arnett; great-grandchildren: Bryson, Norah, and Jude; brother, Bob Kash (Deanna) Arnett Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Serving in the United States Army, Don was a proud Veteran of the 101st and 173^rd Airborne Divisions. He retired from General Dynamics as a welder and enjoyed archery. Don loved his grandkids very much and enjoyed all the time spent with them. He will be missed by all, especially his church family as he could always be found at the door on Sunday mornings greeting everyone with a smile on his face.

Pastor Karen Rarey will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Ada Full Gospel Church, 1047 State Route 235, Ada, Ohio 45810. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and also on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at the church. A burial will follow the service in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
