Edwin Matthew "Matt" Ewing

Edwin Matthew “Matt” Ewing, 26, of Bellefontaine, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Born in Bellefontaine on November 12, 1998, he was the beloved son of the late Edwin Michael Ewing, who passed away on December 12, 2002 and Donna Traughber Ewing, who survives in Bellefontaine.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers, Jeremy Ewing, Wesley Ewing, and Andrew Ewing, three sisters, Jessica (Mike) Larry, Sarah (Derick) Dunlavy, and Jennifer (Taylor) Ewing-Trombley, three nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Michael, and Carter, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Matthew, a 2017 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, was a valued member of the AGC Automotive team, where he worked as a Vision Staff Associate.

Matt had a deep love for music and cherished attending concerts with his brothers, cousin Ryan and many friends. He was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, and his favorite movies were The Lord of the Rings and Batman. Above all, Matt loved his family and friends fiercely. He was an all-around great guy, kind-hearted, funny, and full of life. His unmistakable laugh and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial following the visitation on Tuesday, beginning at 1:00pm in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E. Patterson Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
