Evelyn Yvonne Little

Evelyn Yvonne Little, known by her family and friends as Evon, entered into her eternal rest Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at her home in Bellefontaine surrounded by her beloved family.  She was 64 years old.

She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky June 3, 1957, the fourth daughter of Bradley and Cova June Francis.  In 1974, at the age of 17, she married Thomas Little who remained her constant support and devoted husband to the end.

She was a diligent homemaker and had several house cleaning jobs at various times and also had worked at Holiday Inn, was a Home Health Aide for a few years and was a master crochet artist and spent much of her time making blankets for loved ones and nieces and nephews as they were born.  She had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing in church and with family. She also enjoyed playing games and watching cartoons, Andy Griffith, Mamma’s Place and Golden Girls.

Although she bore no children, she devoted herself to her family, especially her nieces and nephews, in whom she took a special interest and cared for as her own.  She helped raise 20 nieces and nephews, 46 great nieces and nephews, one special nephew Ru, and 16 great-great nieces and nephews, leaving each with cherished memories.  The impact of her legacy rolls down through the generations.

She was a believer in the Lord Jesus and trusted in him alone for her salvation.  She was most generous and would often spend all the money she had to help others in need or buy items for her loved ones.  She invested herself, not in temporal possessions, but in her family who were her greatest treasure.

She spent the last several months at a nursing home, but she was delighted to at last come back to her home and be surrounded by her family for her final days.

Evon is reunited in heaven with her mom and dad; her two brothers, Phil and Baby Boy Francis; her sisters Brenda Penny and Liz Graybill; her nephew Shawn; her nieces Vicky and Peggy; and five brothers-in-law, Michael Little, Joe Frost, Jim Griffith, Larry Gladman, and Rick Penny.

She leaves behind her husband, Thomas; two brothers, Bradley (Janine) Francis and Bobby (Mary) Francis; two sisters: Loretta (Joel) Boyer, and Tami (Mike) Devine; and many nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law Mick Graybill.  A special thanks to Angie Justice and her niece Amber Frost for giving her the extra help and Love.

Aaron Francis will officiate Evon’s funeral service Friday, June 25, 2021, at 6 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m.
