Floella “Toad” Krabill, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully at 10:11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 15, 1933, in West Mansfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Emmett Leroy and Minnie Irene (Hartman) Coyer.
On July 12, 1952, Toad married Jerome “Jerry” Krabill Jr. in Richmond, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2010.
Toad is survived by two daughters, Holly Spittler of Bellefontaine, and Noel (Brian Mote) Krabill of Kenton; a son, Bill Krabill of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren, including a granddaughter Ashley who they raised; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Carpenter; a brother, Jim Coyer; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Toad was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Krabill; two sons, Dan Krabill, and Ron Krabill; five sisters, Doris Krichbaum, Carrie Ann Bradford, Verna Owen, Mary Lou Camper, and Judy Lee Knotts; and two brothers, Junior Coyer, and Carl Coyer.
Toad had worked in retail sales and was a Red Hatter. She enjoyed crafting, baking, cooking, playing computer games, and was a member of the Vanguard CB Club.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Recovery Zone, 440 S. St. Paris Street in Bellefontaine, where Shari Stevens will lead a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. Guests are invited to depart to Huntsville Cemetery with the family at 3:00 p.m., for a brief committal service.
