George Wolf
George Edward Wolf, 84, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Friday morning, March 22, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine. He was born in Lima, Ohio December 14, 1928, to the late George W. and Anna (Eggleston) Wolf. He was also preceded in death by sisters Eileen Harvey, Viola Ferenczi, and two grandchildren.
George married the former Joella Williams June 20, 1955 in Angola, Indiana, and she survives in Belle Center. He is also survived by his children Joel (Cathy) Wolf of Marysville, Ohio, D’Anne (Chris) Conley of Belle Center, George L. (Sue) Wolf of Van Wert, Ohio, Eric (Anne) Wolf of Durham, North Carolina, Mark (Beverly) Wolf of West Mansfield, Ohio, and Karl (Linda) Wolf of Wapakoneta, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Ardith) Wolf of Lima, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Steven Ferenczi of Lima, and numerous nieces and nephews.
George worked for ConRail as a conductor for thirty seven years, retiring in 1991. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and United States Navy. He enjoyed playing the guitar, harmonica and traveling. George had a great sense of humor and loved his family. He was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church.
Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center Monday, March 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. Rev. Jim Burton will officiate the funeral service Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home where friends may call one hour prior to the service starting at 10 A.M. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center with military honors conducted by the Logan County Honor Guard.
