Gladys V. Shumaker Hall, 97, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 16, 2009, at Heartland of Urbana, Ohio. She was born June 13, 1911 in Wingett Run, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Cora Boston Adams.

On July 26, 1930, she married Harold C. Shumaker and he preceded her in death April 11, 1961. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Earl Hall, whom she married September 19, 1967, and he passed away September 22, 1990. Also deceased are 6 sisters, 2 brothers, a son, Donald Shumaker, a grandchild, Kathy Shumaker, and a great grandson, Ian Shumaker.

She is survived by 3 sons, Dean M. (Beverle) Shumaker of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Jerry C. (Patsy) Shumaker of Beavercreek, Ohio, Gene P. (Patty) Shumaker of Orlando, Florida; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Shumaker of Bellefontaine, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Gladys was a homemaker and in 1957, she was employed for several years at the Riverside School in DeGraff, Ohio. In 1991, she became a manager for the Penny Lane apartments where she lived until her health failed in July 2000.

She was the oldest member of the Calvary Baptist Church where visitations are scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. and one half hour before the funeral service Friday, February 20, 2009, at 10:30 A.M., with Pastors Jeffory Willetts and Kevin Boggs officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. in the Iberia Cemetery, Iberia, OH.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
