Glen Richard Sidders

Glen Richard Sidders, 91, of rural Zanesfield, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at his home.

Glen was born in Champaign County, Ohio, on November 17, 1933, to the late Charles Francis and Mary Althea (Barger) Sidders. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, son-in-law Rick Wilgus, and a great-grandchild, Toran Wilgus.

Glen is survived by his wife Ramona “Jane” (Furlong) Sidders, whom he married on August 17, 1952, in Rushsylvania. He is also survived by their children: Pam (David) Hook of West Liberty, Jo Wilgus of Bellefontaine, Michael (Mel) Sidders of Bellefontaine, Dick (Sharon) Sidders of Bellefontaine, and Michelle Sidders of Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.

Glen, a 1951 graduate of East Liberty High School, dedicated over three decades to his career at Rockwell International in Bellefontaine. Following this, he spent 15 years working as a Wastewater Technician at TRC before retiring in 1998. Glen was engaged in community service as an active member of the East Liberty Masonic Lodge #247, where he also served as the 15th District Deputy. Additionally, he held memberships with the Bellefontaine Eastern Star and the Scottish Rite of Dayton.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine with a Masonic Service beginning at 5:45 p.m. Pastor Neal Whitney will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the funeral home and burial will follow in the Zanesfield Cemetery.
