Harold "Bud" Elkins II

HAROLD “BUD” JEROME ELKINS II, 75, of Logan County, Ohio, passed away at 3:29 am on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Esther (Carter) Elkins. On April 20, 1963 Bud married the former Emily Adkins in Sciotoville, Ohio and she survives in Logan County.

Bud is survived by six children; Debbie (Jeff) Spencer of Rushsylvania, Harold “Buddy” (Marsha) Elkins III of Waverly, Sue (Chad) Straker of Rushsylvania, Mark (Kimberly) Elkins of Quincy, Doris (Jody Long) Elkins of Huntsville and Lori Mendez of Indiana, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one on the way, 5 siblings; Doris (Steve) Shump of Columbus, Betty Watts of West Liberty, Jim Elkins of Quincy, Judy Adkins of Bellefontaine and Mary (Rick) Liebhart of Bellefontaine and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Marion T. Elkins, one brother-in-law Milt Watts and step-father, Lee Groves.

Bud was the former operator of Bud & Emmy’s Pizza and Restaurant in Lakeview. He enjoyed cooking and especially playing golf. He is a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God. Most of all Bud enjoyed spending time with all his children and grandchildren. Even though he didn’t really know he said that one great-grandchild on the way is going to be a little girl. Bud really loved his family.

Pastor Nathan Price will conduct a private family graveside service at Harper Cemetery. The family requests those in attendance please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
