Jackie Penrod

Jackie Penrod, 78, of DeGraff, passed away at 9:12 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on June 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Floyd Dean Finfrock and Ruby Jewel (Burton) Finfrock.

On May 20, 1966, Jackie married Fred W. Penrod in Aiken, South Carolina and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2014. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Worsham, and Georgia Finfrock; and a brother, Bill Finfrock.

Jackie is survived by her three children, Kim (Jeff) Sanford, Lezlie (Dr. Dustin Detrick) Penrod, and Eric Penrod; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Helmlinger, Meagan (Matthew) Parker, Tyler (Mary-Caroline) Sanford, Camren (Cassie) Lattimer, Lauryn (Raiph) LeVan, Ethan Lattimer, and Keira Penrod; five great grandchildren, Nova Helmlinger, Kaisen Helmlinger, Colton Helmlinger, Jackson Lattimer, and Jameson Parker; a brother, Fred (Ginnie) Finfrock; sister-in-law, Carol Finfrock; and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where she worked in Management Operations for the F22 fighter jet and continued her career in the Education and Training Office. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, gathering with friends, and most especially spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Quincy Methodist Church, 111 South Street in Quincy. Pastor Michael Mitchell will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14th at the church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.
