James Edward Cline

James E. Cline, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on May 31, 2025, at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on March 30, 1952, to the late Clarence I and Dorothy M. (Tampos) Cline.

James is survived by his daughters, Mindy (Paul) Fulmer and Krystal (Eric) May; grandchildren, Aaryonna (Dylan) Webb, Draven (Kylee) VanSchoyck, Carmen Fulmer, Jace May, and Wyatt May; great grandchildren, Mila Webb, Nova VanSchoyck, Ivy VanSchoyck, and Jaxx Webb; and a nephew, Jason Cline.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Charles I. Cline, and an infant brother, Larry Cline.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served during the Vietnam War. In 2024, he was recognized as a distinguished veteran in Bellefontaine. James had a passion for fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends, enjoying a cold beer. He was known for his lively personality and enthusiasm for music, particularly old country tunes. As an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, he enjoyed attending many of their games. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third Street, Dayton.
