James "Jim" Irving Johnson

James "Jim" Irving Johnson, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on September 12, 1945, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, a son of the late Howard Johnson and Hazel (Isaacson) Johnson.

On April 23, 1977, Jim married Nora Esther (Duke) Johnson in Columbus, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by his special dog Winston. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Algernon Johnson.

Jim enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Liberty Hills Golf Course in Bellefontaine.

A visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine.
