Jean A. Watkins

Jean A. Watkins, 59, of Kenton, Ohio, passed away on September 1, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on August 10, 1964, to Carol (Herd) Curtis and the late Paul E. Thomas Sr. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, William “Neil” Short.

Along with her mother, she is also survived by her children: Amber (Nick) Conway and Bradley Short; grandchildren: Dakota Rausch, David Short, Harleigh Conway and Nicolas Conway Jr; a brother, Paul E. Thomas Jr.; and her significant other, Jim Houchin.

Jean loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was attending her grandkids activities and sporting events. She also enjoyed her job working as an office manager at Maxline Express Trucking in Kenton.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214 in Jean’s memory.
