Jerome “Jerry” Krabill, Jr., 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 3:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio September 26, 1927, a son of the late Jerome and Dorothy (Jacobs) Krabill. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Krabill and a brother, Kenneth McCloskey.
He married Floella “Toad” Coyer July 12, 1952 in Richmond, Indiana, and she survives along with a daughter, Holly Spittler of Bellefontaine; sons, Dan and Bill Krabill both of Bellefontaine, Ron Krabill of Sidney, Ohio, and Noel Krabill of Kentucky; nine grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Ashley, whom they raised and seven great-grandchildren.
He retired from Airstream in Jackson Center, Ohio, and ran his own wrecker and radiator repair business.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Church of the Brethren in Bellefontaine and a member of Mad River Lodge #161 Free & Accepted Masons in West Liberty. He loved his family, working and feeding the birds.
Pastor Fred Clogg will conduct a memorial service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio, with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.
