Joanne Thrailkill

Joanne Thrailkill, 96, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the Homestead at Logan Acres, Bellefontaine.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Johnson) Bailey.

On September 30, 1960, she married Richard C. Thrailkill, and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by a son, David D. Huston.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Delaine and Brian Phipps of Huntsville, Ohio and a cousin, Donna Hutchinson, who was her sidekick at the Homestead.

Joanne was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed playing the piano, taking boat rides on Indian Lake, and going to flea markets looking for antiques. She also loved all animals, especially her miniature schnauzers. She loved being around people and had a great personality.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10 am to 12Noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Pastor Ken Neighoff will officiate a funeral service at 12Noon, following the visitation at the funeral home on Saturday and burial will follow in Fairview-McDonald Cemetery, Hardin County.
