John Michael Huffman

John Michael Huffman, 51, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday morning, June 13, 2025, peacefully at home with his loved ones and his buddy Chance.

John was born in Bellefontaine on October 4, 1973, to the late Richard Lee “Bones” and Florence Jean (Andrews) Huffman. He was also preceded in death by devoted friend Dano Johns.

John is survived by his wife Tracy Huffman, whom he married on August 6, 1993; daughter: Alyssa (Trista) Goodrich; a sister Debbie (Bret) Smith; a brother Richard Huffman II; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and longtime friend and confidant Josh Blue.

A 1992 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, John worked for his father-in-law at Plastic Rework until he became disabled. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and Pittsburgh Steelers. John loved our local watering holes, and never knew a stranger at any of them. When he wasn’t telling stories or watching a ballgame, he was donating to the Keno machine. If the sun was shining, he was at the Comer family pool, his happy place. John enjoyed being a stay-at-home Dad and raising his dogs that he loved.

There will be no services at this time, a celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
