John T. Kesecker, 66, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday afternoon, May 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
John was born in Bellefontaine on September 13, 1958, to the late Max D. and Mina D. (Molton) Kesecker. He was also preceded in death by a brother Larry Cooper.
John married Amy Lattimer on December 23, 2007, and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by daughters: Susie Holycross, Jesse Holycross, Jackalyn (Jason) Cole, and Elizabeth (Christopher) Bryant; son John Holycross; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special brother-in-law Roger Lattimer.
John was a veteran of the US Army, having served with the 101st Airborne Division, and 4 years with active reserve. He worked many years as a construction and production processor technician at PlastiPak in Jackson Center. John enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time on the shooting range. He was a dedicated family man and loved his God.
Friends may call on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4-6pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. Chaplain Mike Porter will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday, May 20, at 2:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery with military rites provided by members of the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
