Julia Ann Pierson

Julia Ann Pierson, age 68, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, December 22, 2021, at her home.

Julia was born in Akron, Ohio June 30, 1953, to the late Charles M. and Barbara A. (Price) Hevener Jr.

Julia is survived by her husband, Marshall J. Pierson III, whom she married March 18, 1977. She is also survived by children: Amanda (Justin) Blumer, Julia “Annie” (Gabriel) McNutt, Kathleen “Katie” (Jason) Shade, and Heather (Andrew) Martzke; step-children: Margaret Pask and Nicholas Pierson; numerous grandchildren; a brother, John Hevener and a sister, Susan Mongiardo.

Julia was a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. At the age of 40, she went back to school and graduated from the Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1996. She enjoyed her career as a registered nurse, especially her service in the Intensive Care Unit at Mary Rutan Hospital. She also worked as a nurse at Logan Acres Care Center and Hardin Memorial Hospital. Julia was an avid gardener and enjoyed her needle work projects. She will be remembered as an extremely kind and thoughtful person.

Memorial graveside services for Marshall and Julia will be held Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Pastor Philip Pokras officiating.
