Karen Alease Lewis

Karen Alease Lewis, 69, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in the Central Ohio Hospice of The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born in Bellefontaine on August 22, 1955, the daughter of the late Roscelle and Beverly Mae (Deslandes) Clark.

On August 24, 2000, she married Kirk Lewis, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2018. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Valerie Clark, Paul Clark, Karla Clark, Roderick Clark, and Robert Hamilton.

She is survived by her children, LaTrell Clark and Kea (Max Razinger), step children, Tasha Lewis, Morgan Young, Colin Lewis, Miles (Brooke) Lewis, and Ian Springs, grandchildren, Donald III, Airiana, Yucari, Drevyn, Tytan, Aurora, Khai, a sister, Kim Slaughter, and a brother, Roscelle Clark II, and her nieces and nephews, Angela, Mandi, Jayla, Kami, Karlyissa, Bo, Tyrell, Rossi, and Jacob and many great nieces and nephews.

Karen graduated from Bellefontaine High School and went on to work for Thermoid/HBD for 30+ years. She was a huge sports fan, always cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Even when there wasn't a football or basketball game to watch, she enjoyed watching golf and tennis. She also enjoyed watching her soaps and loved to listen to anything Bruno Mars. She loved spending time with her family and loved having family gatherings, especially during Christmas and Memorial Day.

Pastor Karen Cane will officiate a funeral service on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home from 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
