Linda M. Winter Jennings, 74, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday morning, July 9, 2022, at Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Linda was born in Bellefontaine on June 24, 1948, to the late Hugh “Poke” Benchoff and Phyllis Carol (Smith) Brunson. She was also preceded in death by husband Allen Winter, daughter Cheryl McClain, and brother Dale Benchoff.
Linda married Steve Jennings on September 18, 2014, and he survives in Bellefontaine. She is also survived by daughters Carol (Cory) Wagner of Mt. Victory, and Deb (Clayton Spring) Winter of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren: Mallory Linebaugh, Bailey Wagner, and Adam Wagner, and special grandson Gunnar Stratton; three great-grandchildren: Klayten, Kayden, and Kinsley; a brother Brian (Jodi) Brunson of Bellefontaine; nephews Scott Brunson, and David Barger, and niece Cassie Barger.
Linda worked many years as the owner and operator of 1-Hour Cleaning and Cornerstone Cleaners. She was a longtime member of the Kiwanis, and a lifetime member of the VFW. Linda loved quilting and was a member of numerous card clubs. She enjoyed horses, traveling, bird-watching, and was an honorary member of the Ridgemont FFA. She was an avid 4-H supporter.
The visitation for Linda will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 4-7pm at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, with casual attire acceptable. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 14, at 11am at Zanesfield Cemetery, led by Roger and Rachel Kauffman.
