Lori Ann Huffer (Ware), 62, born September 24, 1961, to Jerry and the late Linda (Lawhead) Ware, transitioned to her eternal home on March 31, 2024, intentionally surrounded by her loving husband, four children and their spouses.
She was a 1979 graduate of Jackson Center High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Dr. Kreg Huffer. On July 11, 1981, they were married at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Montra. Her legacy lives on through her loved ones, including her husband; their four children, Chelsea Huffer, Brooke (Josh) Carter, Makaine (Chas) Quatman, Dillon (Taylor) Huffer; six grandchildren, Finnley, Vivian and Zayden Quatman, Charli and Jagger Carter, and Foxton Huffer; father, Jerry Ware; sister, Jody (Mitch) Zimpfer Keith and godchildren, Blake and Courtney Zimpfer; and mother-in-law, Joyce Huffer Shobe. Lori is reunited with her mother, Linda; infant brother, Jeffrey; and father-in-law, Dr. Dale Huffer.
Lori was blessed to be a full-time mother and devoted her energy fully to her kids and her husband’s professional endeavors. Her passion for cooking and fine food led her to fulfill her entrepreneurial vision of creating Café Verandah, in Jackson Center, which she managed for eight years. Her interests included traveling with her husband, gardening, and working out, but especially spoiling her grandchildren.
Lori’s desire was to have a small and intimate service with her immediate family. In lieu of the time spent paying your respects to the family, they ask that you direct that energy towards being intentional with your time by being present with your loved ones, calling an old friend, or mending a relationship that’s been broken. The Huffer Tribe believes this will make the world a better place. Instead of food, flowers, or gifts, the family asks that you make a monetary donation towards the Jackson Center Education Foundation. (https://thetroyfoundation.org/jacksoncentereducationfoundation)
EICHHOLTZ DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME, JACKSON CENTER is honored to serve the Huffer family and encourages anyone to share a fond memory or message of condolence at www.edsfh.com.
