Lucas J. Heath

Lucas J. Heath, 31, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Bellefontaine.

Lucas was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 14, 1987 to Teresa L. (Grow) Heath and James D. Heath.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather James A. Grow, paternal grandfather David Heath, and his sister Lindsey Heath.

Lucas is survived by his wife, Amanda (Wheeler) Heath, his mother, Teresa L. Heath of Bellefontaine, his father James D. Heath of Dorado, Puerto Rico, two daughters; Kiliana Heath and Catalya; siblings:  Rusty Nicole Heath of Bellefontaine, Kristie S. (Ayiende) Smith of Ruskin, Florida;  maternal grandmother Patricia (Knox) Pinks of Bellefontaine and paternal grandmother, LaDonna (Fry) Heath of Quincy nieces and nephews; Zack Heath and Zarik Deere, Kayla and Jayden Smith, his cousins; Tricia Slaven, Lacey Grow, Dusty and Cody Jarrett, Curtis and Jon Morgan, and many aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles.

Lucas was a fun-loving, gentle kind soul.  He would never say no to anyone.  He was the best father, husband, son, brother, and uncle.  His goal in life was to make his daughters and wife feel safe and loved and to never let them go without anything.  He attended South Bay Church in Florida and was baptized on June 26, 2016.  He was the owner/operator of LJH Handyman Services in Florida.

Lucas was always teaching his daughter Kiliana about construction, how to work on cars, how to fish, and loved to take her horseback riding.

He loved to talk to family, friends, and even strangers.  He always looked at all people equally.  He loved and was loved by so many and had energy that with just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life.

He is now in heaven with his big sister Lindsey, where they are safe and feeling the love of God.  The will be forever be loved and missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Rd., West Liberty, OH 43357.  Visitation will be on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the West Liberty funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
