Marilyn Lee Molton

Marilyn Lee Molton, of Bellefontaine, gained her heavenly wings on her 85th birthday, March 14, 2024. A daughter of the late Ernest LeRoy and Martha (Neske) Robinaugh, she was born in Celina, Ohio on March 14, 1939. 

 

On February 2, 1962, she married William Edgar Molton, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2010. She is also preceded in death by their son, William Scott Molton; her brother, Larry Robinaugh; and infant sister, Barbara Robinaugh. 

 

Marilyn leaves behind her children: Patricia Lynn (Michael) Minnich of DeGraff, Ohio and Steven Eric (Jennifer de Vries) Molton of Dayton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Julie Molton of Bellefontaine, Ohio; grandchildren: Samuel (Amber) Molton, Jacob Molton, Marci (Nate Lehrer) Sebring, Ryan (Kassi Perez) Sebring; great grandson, Aster Sebring; niece, Barb (Rick) Page; nephew, Darin (Kathleen) Robinaugh; and special cousins: Robert, Donna, and Michelle Lynham. 

 

A graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Marilyn went on to attend Bowling Green State University. She was employed at the Bellefontaine City Schools for over 25 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, along with the Bellefontaine Lions Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She loved her family deeply and especially enjoyed her time spent with her grandkids. 

 

Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellefontaine Lions Club, in care of secretary, Ashley Ford, 1837 County Road 113 E, Rushsylvania, Ohio, 43347.
