Marion A. Fox

Marion A. Fox, also known by Manny and Paw by his family, Foxy by his coworkers, and Sam by his friends, age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021, at his residence.

He was born in Bellefontaine March 12, 1941, the son of the late Lester and Nina (Nickell) Fox.  He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Monteith and Beverly Woodrum.

On February 18, 1962, he married Nancy (Fielder) Fox and she survives in Bellefontaine after 59 ¾ years of marriage.

He is also survived by one daughter, Tami Kerns; a granddaughter, Katie (fiance’ Jonathan Borges) Kerns; a grandson, Tim (Beth) Kerns; two great grandsons, T.J. and Hunter Kerns, all of Bellefontaine; a grand fur baby Paisley and several nieces and nephews.

Sam worked 38 years before his retirement from The Shelly Company in Belle Center.  After his retirement, he began his obsession with the game of golf playing often and working at Liberty Hills Golf Course in Bellefontaine.  He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed Bellefontaine Chieftain athletics.  He and his wife also enjoyed traveling together.

In keeping with Sam’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services held.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is honored to serve the Fox family.
