Marjorie Elaine Kite

Marjorie Elaine Kite,77, of Sidney, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18,2025, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 20,1948, a daughter of the late William Thompson and Virginia (Kiser) Thompson.

On October 23, 1994, she married Charles David Kite in DeGraff, Ohio and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Thompson.

Marjorie is survived by her four children, Don Phillips, Jinny Katner, Ken (Sheryl) Knisley, and Cathy (Eric Bynum) Knisley; grandchildren, Jacob Knisley, Katie Knisley, Jonny Knisley, Dustin Murray, Cody Lewis, Jacob Stayrook, Joe Black, Miranda Black, Elizabeth Black, Stephanie Black, Kristi Schoepfle, Jessica Clason, and Justin Schoepfle; 22 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean (John) Carson; several nieces and nephews; and many entrusted friends.

Marjorie worked as a real estate agent for several years. She was a member of Piqua Freewill Baptist Church in Piqua, Ohio. She was a talented painter and taught painting classes.

Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Deacon Tony Teague will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
