Marlene J. Brown

Marlene J. Brown, 84, of Zanesfield, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Campbell Place in Bellefontaine. She was born in Caldwell, Ohio on September 6, 1938, to the late N. Perry and Hazel (Sanford) LeVan.

On June 15, 1956, she married Robert E. Brown, and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2020. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Violetta Brown, and brothers: Donald LeVan and Jack LeVan.

She is survived by her children: Brenda (Jon) Williams and Perry (Debora) Brown; grandchildren: Tracy (Edward) Cline, Niki Williams, Robert Nathan Brown, C. Matthew (Emily) Stockton; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Marlene was a member of the Zanesfield United Methodist Church, a member of the Zanesfield Worthwhile Club, an honorary member of the FFA at Ben Logan, an honorary life member of the Ohio Office Education Association. She also worked at Logan Hills and Benjamin Logan Schools. She had many hobbies but some of her favorites were crocheting, sewing, and quilting. Her and Robert enjoyed camping and spending time with the fan clan. They loved their family and church family very much.

A funeral service for Marlene will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Zanesfield United Methodist Church, 2880 Main St, Zanesfield, Ohio 43360. Visitation will be two hours prior from 10:00 to 12:00. Burial will follow in Zanesfield Cemetery.
