Melva Joyce Norviel

Melva Joyce Norviel, 77, of West Liberty, passed away Monday evening, June 23, 2025, at Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Hospital.

Melva was born on January 21, 1948, in Bellefontaine, to the late Melvin Berry and Ruth (Robinson) Krabill. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Douglas A. Norviel, and a sister Beverly Krabill.

Melva is survived by daughter Christie Barns of Bellefontaine; son Brad Norviel of Bellefontaine; 3 grandchildren: Dalanie (Cody) Logan, Carlie (Quincy) Glunt, and Addie Barns; 5 great-grandchildren: Henry Logan, Avery Logan, Alaina Glunt, Ezmae Glunt, and Bayler Oates; and a sister Norma Jean Rumer of Bellefontaine.

Melva worked at Kroger and EWH-Spectrum, both in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and gardening, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

There will be no services held at this time for Melva.
