Nancy Barns

Nancy Irene Barns, 65, of Belle Center, Ohio, died Saturday, October 4, 2008, in Lima Memorial Health System, Lima. She was born in Allen County on September 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Roger and Clystie Brackney Williams. She was raised by her great-aunt and uncle, the late Emery and Otti Chiles. She also was preceded in death by a stepsister, Shirley Matthews.

On October 4, 1963, she married Leroy K. Barns at the New Hampshire Methodist Church and he survives, along with sons, twins Keith (Karen) Barns of Belle Center and Kevin (Jodie) Barns of Waynesfield, and Dale (Christie) Barns of West Liberty; two grandsons and five granddaughters.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ.

Pastor David C. Hawthorne conducts the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
