Patricia Ann Sterling, 85, of Kenton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, as a result of a massive stroke.

She was born at home in Hardin County Ohio July 22, 1936, to the late Guy W. and Ruth (Baum) Sterling. She was also preceded in death by her only sister, Mary Marie Sterling and special friends Robert G. Reed Jr. and Don R. Lay.

She is survived by many close friends, including Jane Lay, Tony Lay, Kathy (Todd) Dawson, Teresa (Dennis) Walls and their son Robert Walls.

Patty was a graduate of Belle Center High School. She earned her LPN in 1958 in the first class of the Lima School of Practical Nursing. She was a nurse first at San Antonio Hospital and then at Hardin Memorial Hospital and retired after working nearly 25 years with Dr. Jay Pfeiffer in Kenton.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a 7th Degree Member of the Lawrence Valley Grange. She had been active in the Hardin County Homemaker's Moonlighters Club, the Red Hats, King's Daughters and the Sewing Circle at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

Patty decorated wedding cakes for many years, liked to read mysteries and enjoyed attending Ohio State Football games.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, Ohio.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Fairview McDonald Cemetery in Kenton.

Sincere gratitude is expressed to her home health aide and friend, Diane Freshcorn; the staff of Hardin Hills Health Center; Heartland Hospice and the congregation of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center is honored to serve the Sterling family.
