Peggy J. (Born) Shultz, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center in Columbus. She was born in Bellefontaine on April 17, 1937, to the late James Born and Doris (Savage) Krites.
On October 8, 1955, she married Richard Randolph Shultz and he preceded her in death in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Karl Krites; a daughter, Lisa Shultz Klinger; brother, Donald Born; and sister-in-law, Olma Born.
She is survived by children: Rick (Connie) Shultz, Debra Shultz, Alonna Shultz; grandchildren: Jessica May, Ricky (Sarah) Shultz, Dustin Klinger, Conner Robinson, and Nicole Caudill; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy (John) Davis; brother-in-law: Tony (Joyce) Shultz; 13 nieces and nephews; her dog, Gidget; and many special friends that loved her deeply.
“Grandma Peg” as the whole neighborhood called her, was an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed painting, loved sunsets, and Christmas time. She was a 1955 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and was a member of the Bellefontaine Church of Christ. She loved life and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, great-grandkids, and Gidget.
Pastor Russ Lawson will officiate a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Inurnment will be in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff at a later date.
