Rachel Branan

Rachel A. Branan, 83, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born October 3, 1925, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late W. Dow and Mary Jane Swanigan Wagner. On June 27, 1941, she married Paul Branan in Kentucky and he preceded her in death September 28, 2004. Also preceding her in death are 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving are 2 sons, Michael L. “Mike” (Linda) Branan of Lebanon, Ohio, and William C. “Bill” (Janice) Branan of Bellefontaine, Ohio; and 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She retired from NAPA where she worked in inventory. Rachel enjoyed volunteering at Green Hills Center and loved being with her family. She and her husband started and managed the Bingo Program at Green Hills Center for several years.

Pastor David Hernandez will conduct a memorial service at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Green Hills Center Foundation Hall. Burial will follow in the Grove Cemetery in Kenton.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Green Hills Center or Wilson Memorial Hospice.

The staff of the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty handled the arrangements.
