Ronalee Ann Vanica, 75, of Vandalia, passed away peacefully at 11:51 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Momentous Health in Vandalia, Ohio. She was born on October 22, 1947, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert Wilcox and Frances Lucille (Gatten) Vanica.
Ronalee is survived by her three children, Roseanna "Rosy" K. West, Robert (Dawn) Simons, and William (Judy) Simons; seven grandchildren, Robert Green (Katie) Jones IV, Amanda Sembach, Brandy Nicole Simons, Lauren Simons, Robert Simons Jr., Andrew Simons, and Ronnie Simons; three great grandchildren, Nollie, Sonny, and Riplee; a sister, Frances (Ed) Carmack; a brother, William Towler; and her beloved dog, Cinnamon. In addition to her parents, Ronalee was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Shaky” Vanica.
Ronalee had worked as a medical billing specialist. She loved elephants and crocheting.
A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Ronalee’s memory, to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
