Ruth F. Zupp

Ruth F. Zupp, age 83, of Rushsylvania, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, December 2, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Ohio.

Ruth was born at home in Walnut Grove, Ohio July 30, 1938, to the late Elbie J. and Evelyn E. (Jones) Wilgus.  She married Paul F. Zupp May 14, 1954, and he preceded her in death June 21, 1997.  Ruth was also preceded in death by siblings: infant Arthur L. Wilgus, Ivan C. Wilgus, and Rita P. Rader.

Ruth is survived by her children: Paul Douglas (Debbie White) Zupp of Hilliard, Gary (Peggy) Zupp of West Mansfield, Brenda (Phil) Roy of McGuffey, and John (Sherril) Zupp of Marysville; a step-daughter Cindy LeVan of Bellefontaine; 8 grandchildren: Amanda (Andy) Fulkerson, Amy Zupp, Eric (Amanda) Zupp, Brittany Roy, Paul (Alexis) Roy, Amy (Eric) Bruckelmeyer, Ashley Zupp, and Addison Zupp; 8 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Trenton, Kora, Jemma, Lanae, Dakota, Holden, and Bella; 3 sisters: Genevieve “Genny” Funk of McComb, Eileen “Cricket” Wical of Bellefontaine, and Freda “Short” (Rusty) Quay of Kenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a member of the United Methodist Church in Walnut Grove for many years and most recently was a member of North Greenfield United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed her crafts, crocheting, and pretty punch.  During her lifetime, she worked with Welcome Wagon, sold Tupperware and SaladMaster pans, and worked at Super X, Omart, and Rite Aid.   She was a bus driver for Benjamin Logan Schools for more than 15 years.  In her younger days, she showed horses with the Wilgus Family.  Ruth treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and watching them grow up and participate in school activities.

Pastor Linda Dulin-Moore will officiate Ruth’s graveside service Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Harper Cemetery.
