Sandra Jean Spires

Sandra Jean Spires, 75, of Belle Center, Ohio passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 12, 2021, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Sandy was born in Russells Point, Ohio June 13, 1946, to the late Melvin Leroy and Marrietta (Beach) Hereld.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty six years, William Spires who passed away just over a week ago.  Sandy was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Spires and siblings Clara Ostermyer, Lila McKinley, Roger McKinley and William McKinley.

Sandy is survived by her children: Billy Spires of Fulton, Missouri, Roger (Jody Williams) of Belle Center and Terry (Tina) Spires of Marion, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Sherry Dugan of Lakeview, Ohio; a brother, Harry “Bub” Hereld of Florida; several nieces and nephews and her beloved chihuahua Andy.

Sandy loved to go to garage sales.  She also enjoyed her pull tabs and scratch offs.

Pastor Steve Smith will officiate Sandy’s funeral service Friday, October 15, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, where visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center is honored to serve the Spires family.
