Sheryl S. Thompson

Sheryl S. ‘Sherri’ Thompson, age 76, of Lakeview, Ohio and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in Bellefontaine February 13, 1944, the daughter of the late Merely Revell Oglesbee and Martha Louise (McWade) Kessler.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas C. and John Earl Sheeley.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Scott) McClain of Lakeview and her son, Dan (Kristal Moore) Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jordan Aldo, Jenna (Derek) Welch, Alexandra (Corey Hanes) Thompson and Sierra Thompson; two great grandchildren, Carter Hanes and Landry Welch; a brother, Sam (Sue) Sheeley of Bellefontaine; her sister-in-law, Diane Sheeley of Bellefontaine; a daughter-in-law, Stacy Thompson of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Sherri worked for Honda Transmission (HTM) from 1986 until her retirement in 2008.  She loved any and all babies and children, enjoyed giraffes and collecting all things giraffe related.  Most of all she loved the time she spent with her family, especially the time with her grandchildren.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held Sunday two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery at a later date.
