In loving memory of Tim Jay Moran, loving father, grandfather, husband, teacher and coach.
Tim passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, March 26, 2022, at his home in Rushsylvania, Ohio, at the age of 62. He had been suffering with failing health for the past year due to complications from diabetes.
Tim was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on December 1, 1959, and had lived in Richmond, Ohio, as well as the Toledo area as a child. He graduated from Jefferson Union High School and then attended Hiram College of Ohio, where he met his wife Donna. They were married on November 26, 1983, and had two children: Jennifer Leigh (Derek) Phillips of West Mansfield, and Jacob Tyler (Cierra) Moran of Paulding, Ohio. He is also survived by a grandson Baker Phillips; a sister Kay Moran Panovec of Columbus; a brother Jim Moran of Birmingham, England; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother June Hough Moran and father Walter Moran.
Tim taught at Bellefontaine Middle School for 32 years and retired in 2015. He coached Bellefontaine High School football under Coach Greg Peitsmeyer and alongside many other coaches for many years. He has touched the lives of many young people from the Bellefontaine area. Tim also coached girls track at Bellefontaine High School with Coach Ben Davis. More recently, he has been mowing for the city of Bellefontaine, mostly at Blue Jacket and Southview Parks. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center Bellefontaine.
Private family graveside services will be held in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
