William B. McCormick

William B. McCormick, age 87, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on May 20, 1938, to the late William L. and Velma M. (Poulson) McCormick.

On May 26, 1959, he married the former Dorothy Anne Smith, and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2011. William was also preceded in death by a son, Richard T. McCormick.

He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth A. “Beth” (Jack) Fish of Columbus, Ohio, a son, Daniel L. McCormick of Valparaiso, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Elaine McCormick of Grove City, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Logan (Olivia), Shelby, Nate (Sarah), Natalie (Ben), Dylan, and Molly (Kyle); and great grandchildren, Jaxxon, Riley, and Reagan.

William was an accountant and retired in 2003 from Dresser Industries. He was a member of the Belle Center Cornerstone Church, and the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club. William was a board member of Logan County Historical Society, and Logan County Friendly Senior Center. He was on the Belle Center Council as the Fiscal Officer for 10 years and served as Vice President of the Logan County Weekly Religious Education. William volunteered tax preparation at the Friendly Senior Center during tax season.

Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Belle Center Cornerstone Church, 202 East Main Street, Belle Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
