Charles Richard “Dick” Griffith Sr., age 83, of Kenton, Ohio passed away at 6:45am Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton.
He was born in Shelby County Ohio November 29, 1936, a son of the late Charles H. and Helen Sophia (Mann) Griffith. He was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Richard Griffith Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Annetta (Doug) Chappell; granddaughter, Annika Chappell, all of Belle Center, Ohio; a brother, Donald M. (Jean) Griffith of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a niece, Andrea (Cale) Jacobs and their sons, Alex and Clay Jacobs of Indian Lake and a nephew, Mark Griffith of Florida.
Dick was a longtime farmer farming for more than sixty years. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge #209 in Bellefontaine, Indian Lake Moose Lodge and the Am Vets. He served in the Ohio National Guard and belonged to the Hardin County Antique Tractor Club.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
