David Keola Cullen Sr., 65, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, March 17, 2021 at the Ross Heart Hospital in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
David was born in Honolulu, Hawaii November 18, 1955, to the late Arthur P. and Emily L. (Kaahaaina) Cullen. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Ruth A.K. Cullen; a brother, Ryan Cullen and a sister, Lenora Kealoha-Cullen.
David married Ruth A. (Tanaka) Cullen November 27, 1976, Honolulu, Hawaii and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by a daughter, Corrine Cullen and a son, David Cullen, Jr. both of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren; two sisters: Carolyn Machado of California and Melanie Cullen of Hawaii; a brother, Abraham Cullen of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.
David attended the Lamb of God Church in Hawaii. He worked in construction and did masonry and tile work. David had also worked at the Naval shipyard in Hawaii. He loved to spend time with his wife, enjoyed growing orchids, hunting, farming and fishing.
There will be no services at this time. David’s wishes were to be cremated and have his cremains returned to Hawaii.
