Jimmy Lee Elkins, 72, of Quincy, Ohio passed away at 4:26 a.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born December 3, 1948, a son of the late Harold Jerome and Esther Mae (Carter) Elkins. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Lee F. Groves; two brothers, Harold J. “Bud” Elkins II and Marion T. “Sonny” Elkins and a brother-in-law, Milton R. “Milt” Watts.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Jason) Conley of Raeford, North Carolina; a son, Jonathan David Elkins of Quincy; two grandchildren, Daniel Allan Conley and Bethany Ann Conley; four sisters, Doris (Steve) Stump, Betty Watts, Judy Atkins and Mary (Rick) Liebhart; a sister-in-law, Emily Elkins and several nieces and nephews.
A 1966 graduate of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Jimmy had worked in information technology at The Kroger Company from 1975 until his retirement in 2012.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio. Per his request, his body will be cremated following the visitation.
