Marsha D. James, 68, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Monday afternoon, March 15, 2021 at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Marsha was born in Dayton, Ohio February 15, 1953, to the late Arthur William and Margaret Louise (Cole) Hammonds. She was also preceded in death by a sister Karen Hammonds.
Marsha married Junior James December 28, 1992 and he survives in Bellefontaine. She is also survived by sons: Anthony Barton, Austin James and Shane Barton, all of Bellefontaine; several grandchildren; a sister, Cindy Cooper of Ft. Myers, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
A 1972 graduate of Miamisburg High School, Marsha delivered the Bellefontaine Examiner newspaper for many years – a job she loved and loved helping her customers. With her husband Junior, they raised numerous kids over the years. Marsha enjoyed crocheting, cooking and sharing her recipes.
A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held at a later date.

She took good care of Pete Hamm and I told her how much that meant to me. I will miss her smile and think of her often. Scott Harmon
