Orie and Lola loved dreaming and working together to turn their dreams into their beautiful home. An excellent carpenter, Orie loved creating and joked he only made what the voices in his wife’s head told him to do. He had a special place in his heart for daily playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed spending Monday nights playing Dominoes with friends and could quickly add in his head his score and his neighbor’s score. Above all, Orie’s greatest desire was to be a good Christian example and to faithfully attend church services when the doors were open. His caring and compassionate personality will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine where the funeral service will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Price officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff. Taps will be played by Orie's great nephew Joel Jackson, a member of the Logan County Honor Guard.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
