Russell E. Davidson, 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, March 18, 2021 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
Russell was born in Clark County Ohio May 27, 1932, to the late Robert William and Mary Ellen (Bosler) Davidson. He was also preceded in death by sisters Ruth Nevers, Mary Kerns and Betty Ashby; brothers Donald, James and Francis Davidson; and former wives Rosalie Swendson Davidson, Bonnie Strong Davidson and Eileen Smith Davidson and a grandson.
Russell is survived by children: Russell E. (Donna) Davidson Jr., Theresa (Tommy) Davis and Maria (Merriel) Giroir, all of Houma, Louisiana; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother David (Phylis) Davidson of Conroe, Texas; step-children Ronnie and Peggy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Russell was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had been an engineer. He lived in Mississippi and Ohio and had worked as a handyman and drove a cab, among other jobs. While in Mississippi, Russell worked at Ingels Shipyard and enjoyed fishing. Russell was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine.
Russell will be buried with his parents at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio at a later date.
